If you're looking to get the most bang for your buck, when planning a vacation, packages are often the way to go. Plus, if you're a loyal customer with one company, you're often able to earn points that can make a future vacation an even better deal.
If you're a big fan of Southwest (or at least like earning points with them), then we've found some exciting deals you might want to consider if Hawaii is on your list of places to visit. We've put together two packages for different price points, but we're also happy to custom-tailor one to your exact needs. Both of the following are 6 night trips.

Vacation Package One
This vacation package is the cheaper of the two, without sacrificing fun or comfort. We've included an example flight, hotel, rental car, and an excursion. The total price for two people came out to $3,504.12. Plus you'll earn miles with Southwest!

Flights
Flights are going to be the biggest variable for price for any package since it's heavily dependent upon where you're flying out of. Our example flights are departing from Los Angeles, California. If you're interested in one of these packages, however, we're happy to change the location.
We're big fans of avoiding layovers where possible, so going to Hawaii and flying back are both non-stop flights with Southwest. These seats are Southwest's Wanna Get Away tier, which is their base fare. You still get the perks of two bags flying free, but it is non-refundable.

Accommodations
The hotel, we've selected is the Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel. It's a three-star hotel, however we found a sale price at 40% off at the time of publishing. If you're reading this before August 31st, 2024 - that sale price is still available to you!
This hotel is just a short walk away from the beach, and will only take you a few minutes to get there. On-site amenities include two places for food - a cafe and a bar/restaurant, a pool, a hot tub, a concierge for any impulse activity booking, and 24-hour front-desk assistance.
The room we selected is the Deluxe Oceanview. It can come with either one king bed or two doubles. It has its own balcony where you can see the ocean, wifi, a Keurig coffee and tea maker, and a 55-inch television.

Rental Car
At Meridian Vacations, we don't often recommend using a rental car, but Hawaii is one of our big exceptions. While staying in Honolulu, the sights to see and activities are often spread around, and while the island isn't huge, it's also not walking distance and Ubers can rack up a big bill quickly.
We selected a rental car with Alamo, that you can pick up and drop off at the airport for minimal hassle. While you can't choose a specific vehicle make or model, we did select and automatic car with A/C that can fit up to five passengers and/or 3 large suitcases.
The total due at the counter for this was estimated to be $106.24 at the time of research.

Add-ons
For both packages, we added travel protection. This protects your Southwest flights specifically. While you may have no intention of cancelling your flight, that doesn't mean Mother Nature is always on your side. This plan allows you to avoid fees for changing your flights, allows you to cancel for any reason (just in case), and also provides you with travel credits if weather cancels your trip.
Okay, now that we got the less fun add-on out of the way, this trip also includes a Hawaiian Reef encounter for two people! You'll have the opportunity to snorkel in a Hawaiian lagoon and even meet sting rays up close. (They're often referred to as water puppies by the internet.) There are also plenty of fish and even some whitetip reef sharks. This encounter is about 30 minutes long and is safe for all ages.

Vacation Package Two
Of the two packages, this one is the more spendy. It comes in at a grand total of $6,850.20 for two people. This package puts enjoyable experiences and quality at the forefront. Of course, this one is also with Southwest and will also earn you points with them.

Flights
Again, we've chosen our example flight to depart from Los Angeles, but this time our outbound and return flights are the Anytime tier seats, which are just a step below business class with Southwest. These tickets are potentially refundable, allow for early bird check-in, and give you priority & express lane access.
Of course, if you're flying out of a different location, we're happy to change the package as needed, but this may affect the overall price of our packages.

Accommodations
For this package, we've selected the Turtle Bay Resort. The property has nearly five miles of beachfront allowing you to soak up gorgeous ocean views from nearly everywhere on-site.
The hotel offers bike rentals, direct beach access, 36 golf holes, pools, a fitness center, hot tubs, snorkeling, volleyball, boogie & skim boarding, and more! On top of that, there are five different places within the resort where you can find delicious food or drinks. From Lei Lei's Bar & Grill (serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner) to Ola with a high-end atmosphere and delectable food curated by Chef Fred DeAngelo, there's certain to be something that suits your needs.
The room we selected is the Oceanview Queen/Queen. As you may excpect, it comes with two queen beds and a view of the Pacific Ocean. The room has its own balcony, turn-down service, A/C, and comes with bathrobes & slippers for that added touch of relaxation.

Rental Car
As we mentioned previously, Hawaii is often better experienced with a rental car, so both packages include a car for your convenience. The car we selected for this package is with Enterprise.
This vehicle can be picked up and dropped off at the airport for minimal fuss. The vehicle tier selected was their Luxury Car series. While the exact make & model can't be confirmed, the types listed include Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series. This car will have air conditioning and an automatic transmission. It is expected to hold up to five passengers and/or four large suitcases.

Add Ons
Of course, let's talk extras. Same as the previous package we've added on trip protection. As a reminder, this applies specifically to flights, not to hotel, rental car, or anything else. If you'd like full travel insurance that's something we can discuss, however. The protection we added is the same as the previous package.
We also added a Deluxe Lei Greeting to this package. The famous welcome leis that you see in movies and TV shows will be bestowed to you in the luggage pick-up area of the airport to show you the hospitality of Hawaii.
We've also added a two-hour UTV Raptor Tour as an activity to this package. You'll get the opportunity to off-road in this guided tour that will take you through mud, across streams, and provide you views of scenic valleys and remote areas that you can't see any other way. This is a great way to check out the island where over 200 movies and shows have been filmed.
